The 2023 Tianjin Science and Technology Advancement Award was recently announced, and the project Key Technologies for Risk Assessment of Information Security in Intelligent Connected Vehicles jointly submitted by Dr. Zhang Yao from the School of Statistics and Data Science and CATARC (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. won a second prize, marking a breakthrough for our School.
The project focuses on the information security of intelligent connected vehicles, aiming to promote the development of the automotive information security industry and provide a complete risk assessment system and big data support for vehicle manufacturers and testing institutions.
The School of Statistics and Data Science has had a partnership with China Automotive Data (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. since 2016. In recent years, both parties have carried out work in various aspects such as scientific research projects, talent cultivation, internships and practical training. In 2022, they jointly established the Nankai University - CATARC Co., Ltd. Social Practice Base. This award is not only the result of the long-term cooperation between the two sides, but also lays a foundation for further promoting the cross-disciplinary integration of data science in the future.
