On September 14, the 2023 Orientation of the School of Statistics and Data Science, Nankai University was held in the Shiing-Shen Chern Building. Professor and Dean, member of Chinese Academy of Science Zhiming Ma, Party Committee Director Yujie Zou, Deputy Dean Minqian Liu, Deputy Dean Shuyan Lin, faculty members, postgraduate students (2023 class) and new undergraduate students (2022 class) attended the ceremony, which was hosted by Deputy Party Committee Director Jing Ma.
Professor Zhiming Ma extended a warm welcome to all the new students and faculty members . He briefly introduced the School and the Discipline from the perspective of history, achievements, future and education ideas. The School also presented gifts for new faculty members and students.
